Disclosure, reporting and accountability at Sanitas: a driver of continuous improvement

It supports a process of continuous improvement by measuring the performance of its activities.

Through its reports, Sanitas clearly communicates how it manages its most material sustainability issues, the progress it has achieved, and the challenges it prioritizes, supported by data, metrics, and commitments.

To this end, the company structures its disclosures in accordance with recognized reporting frameworks, key regulatory requirements, and international commitments.

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

In its Annual Report, the company uses the GRI Standards as the reference framework for presenting its disclosures and indicators in a consistent and comparable manner. This approach helps stakeholders understand the scope of its activities, the associated impacts and the evolution of its key indicators.

Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

Since 2025, the Seguros, Emisión and Hospitales companies that make up Sanitas Holding have reported in line with the European Union’s most demanding sustainability reporting framework, which enhances the quality and level of detail of sustainability information through the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

This has involved strengthening internal processes, data governance and the double materiality approach, enabling more consistent reporting on the business’s sustainability-related impacts, risks and opportunities.

Non-Financial Information Statement (NFIS)

The Sanitas Mayores, Sanitas Dental and Sanitas Campus companies within the GBS Group disclose information on their environmental, social and governance performance.

This Non-Financial Information Statement provides a comprehensive and traceable overview of how sustainability is integrated into their management approach through the GRI Standards.

UN Global Compact

Sanitas aligns its management approach with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and reports its progress through regular Communications on Progress. This approach links commitments, measures implemented and results achieved, reinforcing the company’s transparency and commitment in a tangible way.
