Sanitas Inclusivo
Since 2024, Sanitas has offered Sanitas Inclusivo, a product developed in collaboration with the insurance broker ILUNION Correduría de Seguros. With an affordable premium and no commercial margin for the company, this health insurance product covers day-to-day outpatient healthcare needs.
Sanitas Inclusivo is an accessible health insurance product designed for people with any type of disability of more than 33%, removing many of the barriers commonly associated with this type of insurance. It does not require a pre-contract health questionnaire and does not apply exclusions for pre-existing conditions, making its preventive services more accessible. Nor does it impose either a maximum entry age or a maximum age limit for remaining insured.
The product also includes services that promote support and independence, such as video consultations, home delivery of medication and transport to and from medical appointments. It also includes the digital services available through the Blua ecosystem, expanding the range of care and follow-up options available to customers. Sanitas Inclusivo is marketed through ILUNION Correduría de Seguros and Sanitas offices.
The collaboration with ILUNION also supports the continuous improvement of digital channels and Sanitas’ own medical and dental centres to enhance accessibility and the user experience.
Supercuidadores Award
In 2025, the Spanish Council for the Defence of Disability and Dependency (CEDDD) recognised Sanitas Inclusivo with the Supercuidadores Award for being the first health insurance product fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
The award, presented jointly to Sanitas and ILUNION Correduría de Seguros, recognises individuals and organisations for their work and for promoting initiatives that improve the quality of life of older people and those living with illness, disability or dependency.
Sanitas Accesible
Available since 2006, this hospital and outpatient health insurance product is designed to meet the healthcare needs of people with acquired spinal cord injuries, people with Down syndrome, and athletes on the Spanish Paralympic Team.
It provides access to Sanitas’ general medical network and includes a network of centres designated as part of its accessible medical network, offering physically adapted facilities, specialised equipment and professionals trained to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
The policy covers 100% of the cost of the services included, ensuring full access to the healthcare covered without additional out-of-pocket expenses.
Policyholders also have access to a range of preventive medicine programmes focused on early detection and health promotion, including breast and cervical cancer screening, coronary risk assessment and colorectal cancer screening.
The insurance also includes dedicated support programmes for key stages of life, such as childbirth preparation and child health programmes, providing guidance and follow-up both before birth and during the early years of life.
Sanitas Inclusivo, Sanitas Accesible and Fundación del Lesionado Medular
Sanitas Inclusivo and Sanitas Accesible reinforce the company’s commitment to inclusion and access to healthcare for people with disabilities. In 2025, the agreement with Fundación del Lesionado Medular (Spinal Cord Injury Foundation) expanded this coverage by incorporating the medical and care services provided at the Foundation’s medical centre in Madrid. Through this agreement, policyholders have access to a centre equipped with specialised facilities and technical resources designed to provide comprehensive care for people with spinal cord injuries.
Sanitas Único
Sanitas Único is a preventive outpatient health insurance product designed for people over the age of 60. It provides access to healthcare with no upper age limit for enrolment, no health questionnaire and immediate access to most services.
The policy provides access to primary care and specialist consultations, as well as both basic and advanced diagnostic tests, including MRI scans, CT scans and ultrasound examinations. It also includes basic therapeutic treatments and essential dental cover, enabling customers to meet their most common healthcare needs through a single product.
Digital services are also included, such as video consultations with specialists, 24-hour medical assistance and health programmes designed to support wellbeing in later life, covering areas such as nutrition, mental health and healthy ageing.
These are complemented by home-based services, including medication delivery, care assistant support, physiotherapy, podiatry, hairdressing and transport to and from medical appointments. The policy also provides access to the Sanitas Mayores service, which includes a personalised care plan developed by a specialist advisor, guidance on selecting home care services, and discounts on care homes and day centres.
